LeverageX Trading Competition – March 2025

Welcome to the LeverageX Trading Competition on Base, the second major event of 2025! With a total prize pool of 10,000 USDC, this competition is your chance to showcase your trading skills, join an engaging community, and win exciting rewards. This time, the competition is hosted by Based Elnen and sponsored by amazing sponsors.

Competition Timeline

  • Onboarding Period: Begins on Thursday, Feburary 27th, 2025. During this phase, traders can set up their profiles and join or create communities. Trades during this period will not count toward the competition.

  • Competition Period

    • Start: Thursday, March 3rd, 2025, 00:00 AM (UTC)

    • End: Thursday, March 27th, 2025, 11:59 PM (UTC) Trades have to be closed before end date to count for the trading competition.

Zealy Campaign

There will be an exciting Zealy/Airdrop campaign alongside the Trading Competition, featuring various prizes and token airdrops.

How to Participate

To join the competition and qualify for the prize pool, follow these steps:

1. Open LeverageX Trading Competition

Visit LeverageX Trading Competition Page.

2. Connect your wallet and create a Trader Profile

Connect your wallet (e.g. MetaMask) with Base Mainnet and create a trader profile. Learn more how to create a trading profile.

3. Join or Create a Community (Optional)

  • Join an Existing Community: Align with a community to compete for the Community Volume Prize.

  • Create a Community: Found your own community and rally traders to join you.

If you don’t wish to join a community, you can still compete as an individual trader in the Single Trader categories. Learn more how to create a community.

⚠️ Important: It will not be possible to join or switch communities in the last 7 days of the competition (starting March 22nd, 2025). This ensures fair play and rewards long-term community participation.

Prize Pool Breakdown

The total prize pool of 10,000 USDC is divided into two categories:

1. Community Winners

Communities compete based on the total trading volume generated by their members.

  • Total Prize Pool: 3,000 USDC

  • Distribution:

    • 1st Place: 2,000 USDC

    • 2nd Place: 800 USDC

    • 3rd Place: 200 USDC

Prize Distribution

The prize pool for the winning communities will be distributed based on each eligible trader’s contribution to the community’s total trading volume.

  • Volume-Based Allocation:

    • The prize pool is divided proportionally according to each trader’s percentage of the total community volume.

    • For example, if a trader generates 25% of the total trading volume within their community, they receive 25% of the prize pool.

  • Formula for Calculation:

    • Trader’s Reward = (Trader’s Volume / Community Total Volume) x Community Prize Pool

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for a share of the community prize pool: Only traders who generate at least 5,000 Dollars in trading volume during the competition period are eligible.

How Trading Volume is Calculated: Trading volume includes the effect of leverage. For example, a trade with 100 Dollars and 50x leverage generates 5,000 Dollars in volume.

2. Single Traders

Individual traders compete in multiple categories with a total of $7,000 USDC distributed as follows:

a. Volume Leaders

Rewards for the top three traders with the highest overall trading volume (regardless of asset classes).

  • Total Prize Pool: 2,500 USDC

    • 1st Place: 1,750 USDC

    • 2nd Place: 600 USDC

    • 3rd Place: 150 USDC

b. Profit Score Leaders

The Profit Score Leaders category rewards the top three traders with the highest calculated Profit Score during the competition. The Profit Score is designed to fairly assess trader performance by considering absolute profits, percentage profits, and trading activity.

  • Total Prize Pool: 1,000 USDC

    • 1st Place: 750 USDC

    • 2nd Place: 200 USDC

    • 3rd Place: 50 USDC

  • Profit Score Formula

    • Profit Score = (P&L in $ * 0.2) + (P&L in % * 0.5) + (Number of Trades * 0.3)

  • Key Components

    • 1. P&L in $

      Reflects the absolute profit or loss achieved by the trader during the competition. Weighted at 20% in the final score.

    • 2. P&L in %

      Accounts for the relative profit or loss as a percentage of the initial trading balance. This ensures fairness across traders with different starting balances. Weighted at 50%.

    • 3. Number of Trades

      Recognizes the trader’s activity and consistency during the competition. Weighted at 30%.

c. Base Token Volume Leaders

Rewards for the top three traders with the highest trading volume of Base tokens (e.g. $DEGEN, $AERO, $WELL, $VIRTUAL, $BRETT, $AIXBT, $KAITO, $TOSHI)

  • Total Prize Pool: 750 USDC

    • 1st Place: 600 USDC

    • 2nd Place: 100 USDC

    • 3rd Place: 50 USDC

d. Meme Token Volume Leaders

Rewards for the top three traders with the highest trading volume of Meme tokens (e.g. $TRUMP, $BRETT, $SWARMS, $AIXBT, $TOSHI, $DOGE, $DEGEN etc.)

  • Total Prize Pool: 750 USDC

    • 1st Place: 600 USDC

    • 2nd Place: 100 USDC

    • 3rd Place: 50 USD

e. Profit (in $) Leaders

The traders with the highest profit in Dollar will qualify for this price. This price is sponsored by chain.report. In total, 5 trader licenses will be distributed to those with the highest potential taxable amount.

  • Total Prize Pool: $1,000 worth of trader licences from chain.report.

    • Top 3 traders will each receive 1 licence

    • 2 additional licences will be distributed through the Zealy campaign.

f. Consolation Prize

A special prize of 1,000 USDC will be awarded to one randomly selected trader who participated in the competition but did not place in any of the above categories.

Important Notes

1. Fair Play:

Only trades made after creating a profile on the LeverageX Competition Page will count.

2. No Test Funds:

All trades must be executed using real funds. Test funds or demo trades will not be eligible for the prize pool.

3. Community Selection:

Traders can join or create a community anytime during the competition, but community selection will be locked 7 days before the end of the competition (January 21st, 2025).
